What this website collects
- No cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, forms or accounts. Nothing is saved in your browser.
- Like any website, the server that hosts this site may automatically log basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our hosting provider keeps these logs to run and secure the site.
Services your browser connects to
- Google Fonts. The site’s fonts load from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your browser shares your IP address and basic browser details with Google when the page loads. See Google’s privacy policy and the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
- HCB, for donations. Donate buttons take you to our donation page on HCB (hcb.hackclub.com), run by Hack Club. The name, email address and payment details you enter there are collected and processed by Hack Club and its payment providers, not by this website. See Hack Club’s privacy notice and terms.
- Instagram. Links to @projectvidya_ open Instagram, which is run by Meta. Instagram’s privacy policy applies there.
When you donate
As HCB’s donation page explains, Project Vidya sends your receipt to the email address you give there and may use it to contact you. We use donor details only to thank you, send receipts and share updates about our work. We don’t sell them or share them for advertising.
Children
This website isn’t directed at children under 13, and it doesn’t collect personal information from anyone who visits. If you’re a parent or guardian and would like a photo or name removed from the site, email contact@YOUR-DOMAIN and we’ll take it down.
Your choices and rights
- Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, California’s privacy laws or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted.
- For anything Project Vidya holds, email contact@YOUR-DOMAIN. For donation records kept by HCB, you can also contact Hack Club through their privacy page.
- You can block Google Fonts with your browser settings or an extension. The site still works with your device’s own fonts.
